This notice describes the platform’s current data practices. It is not a substitute for Al-Huda obtaining appropriate legal and data-protection advice before launch, and it must be reviewed when the service, suppliers, processing activities or law change.
Section 1
What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files placed on a device by a website. Similar browser technologies include local storage, which allows a website to retain a value in the browser without using a cookie. These technologies can be essential, remember choices, measure use or support marketing.
UK rules under PECR generally require clear information and consent before storing or accessing information on a device unless the technology is strictly necessary to provide a service requested by the user. UK GDPR also applies where a technology processes personal information.
Section 2
Your choices
On a first visit, the platform offers equally available choices to accept all available optional categories, reject optional technologies, or manage preferences. Necessary storage cannot be switched off in the tool because signed-in and security features rely on it. Optional consent is not bundled with account registration or course enrolment.
at any time to review or withdraw optional consent. A change applies to future use. You can also clear site data in your browser; doing so may sign you out and cause the banner to appear again.
Section 3
Current cookie and storage inventory
| Name or pattern | Technology | Purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| sb-…-auth-token | First-party local storage | Maintains the authenticated session, refreshes sign-in and secures access to account areas. The exact key includes the configured backend project reference. | Persistent until sign-out, expiry or browser storage is cleared; session tokens refresh automatically. | Necessary |
| alhuda_cookie_consent | First-party local storage | Records category choices, policy version and timestamp without an account identifier, so the platform can respect the decision. | Until withdrawn, cleared, or superseded by a policy-version change. | Necessary |
The interface component library contains support for a sidebar_state preference cookie, but the current Al Huda UK shells do not use that sidebar component and the application does not currently set this cookie. It will be added to this inventory if activated.
Authentication storage is necessary only when you ask to sign in or use protected account features. Public policy and catalogue pages remain available without creating an account.
Section 4
Consent categories
- Necessary: security, authentication, session continuity, fraud prevention and remembering the consent decision. These are not used for advertising.
- Preferences: optional non-essential display or interface choices. No such service is currently active.
- Analytics: optional measurement of use and performance. No analytics provider or analytics script is currently active.
- Marketing: advertising, cross-site tracking or marketing measurement. No marketing technology is currently active.
The consent component does not load analytics or marketing scripts itself. Future integrations must use the central consent check and update this policy before activation.
Section 5
External services and links
The site currently requests font files and related styles from Google Fonts domains. This request may reveal ordinary connection information such as IP address and browser details to the resource provider, but it is not an Al Huda UK cookie and is not presented as an optional analytics service.
Following a payment or class link may take you to a separate provider. Those sites decide which cookies they set on their own pages and must provide their own information and controls. The active providers must be identified in the Privacy Policy before launch.
Section 6
Browser controls
Most browsers let you view, block and delete cookies or site storage. Blocking necessary storage may prevent sign-in, payment hand-off continuity or protected course access. Browser settings operate separately from the platform’s preference panel and may remove your recorded choice.
For instructions, consult the privacy or help section supplied by your browser. Do not treat a browser “do not track” signal as a replacement for the consent choices shown here unless the platform later implements and documents such support.
Section 7
Updates and contact
